About this ski.

The React 10 Ti is the top model of the Rossignol on-piste range. On their own website they call it an all mountain ski but that’s not what it is. It’s a 100% piste ski. A lot of other things they claim are true. It’s a nice classic build with full side walls, a wood core and titanal plate. The LCT technologie which we know from their race line eliminates counter flex, which results in a stable and trustworthy ski. The new Flip technology offers adaptive torsion control in tip and tail. I must say this new Flip thing really makes the initiation of the turn very easy.

Is it really a race inspired ski?

On this question I can be quite short! No it’s not. It has some of the same technologies as their race skis but the character of the ski is totally different. It is rather an on-piste ski that is very easy to handle. Carving at low and medium speeds is a real joy with the React 10. Carving at high speed is possible, but there is a limit. It’s not a rebound machine but a smooth operator. Drifting and short wedel turns are easy to do, the ski doesn’t punish you at all.

In conclusion

For me it was a bit like plug and play skiing. Click it on and just ride the groomers with a lot of fun almost instantly. Rossignol is telling a true story about  the ski on most things. But it has no racing DNA , it’s not an all mountain ski and experts will prefer something else. For everybody else, though, it’s a damn good thing.
